Please see How do I use my DigiTickets below to find out how to use individual ticket types.

Season tickets - please bring your ticket with you on any day on which the park is open for normal entry.  Your ticket will be scanned on entry to verify that it is valid for the number of people in your party, at which point you will be asked to fill in some personal details for our system after which your group will have photos taken and ID cards printed.  Your season ticket will be valid from the day it is redeemed; however, tickets must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase.

Do you issue refunds?

No, we regret we are unable to issue refunds online.

It is the sole responsibility of the ticket holder to ensure that the ticket is used in the correct manner within 12 months of purchasing the ticket.  Wingham Wildlife Park will not accept responsibility for or refund tickets which have been lost, stolen, forgotten about or where any other reasons may have prohibitted the use of a ticket.

Unless advised otherwise once a ticket has been booked in for a specific date we will not cancel or move it due to adverse weather conditions.

Do you offer ticket extensions?

Once a ticket has been purchased the ticket holder has 12 months to use it in the manner directed.  If they do not, or are unable to do so in that time period we do not offer extensions and the ticket will expire.  If the ticket holder is unable to participate we are able to transfer the name of the person doing the experience, however will not extend the life of the ticket.

Do your tickets have age restrictions at Wingham Wildlife Park?

Yes there are various age bands and age restrictions / limitations which cover various items sold on this website, as shown below.  Please note that we do not offer refunds due to cancellations or problems arising from tickets purchased for people who are too young to do an experience.  We may ask for ID upon arrival at the venue to confirm ages of ticket holders.

Keeper for the day – children aged 5 to 8 years will have to be accompanied by an adult doing the experience at the full price of the keeper for the day adult experience, whilst children aged 9 to 12 years may do the experience without an adult, as long as at least 1 adult remains on site at the cost of a single adult day entry ticket.

Penguin experience – children aged 3 to 5 years may only feed the penguins from outside the enclosure.  All children aged 10 years and under (with the lowest being 3 years) may only do this experience at the 10:15am time slot, whilst all children aged 15 and under must have an adult stay on site during this experience at the cost of a single day entry.

Meerkat experience – the minimum age for this experience is 9 years, however anyone aged 9 to 15 years must have at least one adult on site with them at the cost of a single adult day entry.

Tiger experience – the minimum age for this experience is 14 years.

Otter experience – the minimum age for this experience is 12 years of age, however anyone aged 12 to 15 years must have at least one adult on site with them whilst doing this experience at the normal day entry cost for one adult.

Red panda experience – the minimum age for this experience is 9 years, however anyone aged 9 to 15 years must have at least one adult on site with them at the cost of a single adult day entry.

Do gift vouchers have a value printed on them?

As a default yes there will be a value printed on the gift voucher as this is also your receipt.  If however you need this as a present for someone and do not want a value printed on the voucher please tick the "Is this a gift?" box during the checkout process.  Once this has been ticked you will receive the same voucher as normal, however there will not be a value in any of the price fields.

Please note however that if you are buying presents for multiple people and need separate vouchers for each of them, they must be purchased as distinct transactions.  All vouchers booked in a single transaction are issued under a single booking reference and voucher.

I don't have a printer...

You do not have to print out the 8 digit booking reference – simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and take it with you, coupled with some ID.  Alternatively save the ticket on your smart phone or tablet device to show a member of staff upon arrival at the park.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes.

What happens when I buy a "phyiscal" product?

We sell a number of real world items on this shop including adoption packs and guide books.  Once these have been purchased you will get a confirmation email which you will only need should there be an issue with your order as it will contain your reference number for the order.  This will be automatically forwarded to our staff who will dispatch your item by first class mail.  The postage and packaging costs are included in the costs displayed on the website for customers in the UK (for overseas customers please contact us for a shipping quote).

Can I purchase a ticket in-store or on the day.

For day entry tickets you are able to buy tickets at the main entrance of our park upon arrival.

For animal experiences, if there are spaces available you can book on the day, but if we are full, then you cannot. But you can book at the park for another date.

Do you offer a disabled concession?

Yes we do offer disabled rates for day entry and season tickets:

Paying visitors who receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payments (PIP) are eligible to bring with them one essential carer, free of charge, subject to written evidence in the form of:

  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP) letter
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA) letter
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) letter
  • Attendance allowance (AA) letter
  • Adult / Child Disability Payment (ADP / CDP) letter
  • Photographic staff identification card from a registered nursing or residential care home (foster homes in this instance do not qualify)
  • Confirmation of a requirement for an essential carer by a medical professional on NHS headed paper
  • Access card (must show on the front that the person requires a carer)
  • Severely sight impaired registration confirmation
  • Sight impaired registration confirmation
  • CEA card

The evidence provided must be dated within the last 12 months and must be one of those mentioned above – no other cards, letters or blue badges will be accepted as evidence.

Please note that our staff are not medical professionals and as such we do not expect them to make a judgement decision about a disability without the above written evidence.  As such, if evidence is not brought or not in date, the full charge for entry will be required, both for visitors and carers.

Carers must be aged 16 or older.

Please note that we do not have a disabled rate for experiences because we do not charge extra entry for these, however as with day tickets (using the same terms as above), disabled visitors will be eligable for one essential carer free of charge to accompany them to the park.  However due to enclosure designs and features which are essential for the animals, not all experiences are suitable for all of our visitors.  In order to check suitability and to gain free carer entry these experiences MUST be booked over the phone or in person.  Experiences purchased using the e-system will not qualify for a free carer entry even if evidence is provided as we are required to do suitability checks for the experience.  If you book without checking first and are physically unable to do the experience, no refunds will be given in these circumstances.

IMPORTANT NOTE This ticket type becomes valid from 10 days after your purchase date to allow for the initial direct debit to reach us (unless you see the payment leave your bank account sooner).
